Department of FINE ARTS

The Department of Fine Arts was established in 2017 under self-financing scheme. Fine Arts is a program in which the hand, the head, and the heart of person are synced together. Fine Arts offers undergraduate and post graduate degree programs that deals with the study of Visual or Performing Arts. It includes subject such as Painting, Sculpture, Applied Arts, and Photography etc. Fine Arts course educate and reforms the skills of candidates as well as enables them to become artists in their chosen field. While wide variety of opportunities are available for Fine Arts graduates and postgraduates in India and aboard; there is a good demand of BFA & MFA students in the sectors of cinema, television, advertising, animation, publishing, textile, art studios, boutiques, educational institutes and so on.

This department has much scope to develop cultural, religious and historical Avadh Arts methodologies in this remote region of Avadh. Its mission is to work on these aspects and create job opportunities for people of this region and uplift the society for better quality of life. Fine Arts govern the life of every individual, society and modern states. It integrates the study of Fine Arts with that of organizational and institutional aspects of effective management and addresses key policy issues in human life. This Department is running by skilled Faculty members and wellequipped with smart class rooms, computer, Painting Sculpture & Applied Art laboratory, studio, Art Gallery cum seminar hall and broadband internet facility. The course is suitable for persons working in various Governments – Non-government Departments/ Agencies, NGOs etc.

Since its establishment the deparment of Fine Arts has always been the vibrant department in universty campus and Avadh region by its creative and innovative artistic work through various art workshop, trainning programmes & Art Competitions. It has always been involved in teaching & research work. The courses in the Department are designed as per the competitive needs of society, students and job market under the guidelines of UGC.

4 Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Arts/ Fine/Visual Arts- Painting 04 Years
(08 Semesters) 		Post-Graduation in Painting with 55% Marks
5 One Year PG Diploma in Art Education 01 Years
(02 Semesters) 		UG With Painting/Sculpture/ Applied Art concerned with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
6 06 Months Certificate Course in Art Appreciation 01 Semesters 10th Passed with any discipline
